Regional Science Centre, Warngal is located on a hillock having an aerial extent of 15 acres on Hunter Road, Opp. Vana Vignana Kendram, Hanankonda at a central location of three towns i.e. Warangal, Khazipet and Hanamkonda. The operational area of the centre is 10 districts of Telangana State. The project is being implemented under the administrative framework of Telangana State Council of Science & Technology (TSCOST) and executed by Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) with M/s. Aakar Architects, Hyderabad as the Architectural Consultant. Buildings with unique architectural designs, approach road, educative and exciting scientific exhibits, non-conventional energy systems, specially organized greenery, recreation and centralized air conditioning facilities form part of the Regional Science Centre, Warangal initially. Plinth area of the G +3 structure is 15,000 s.ft. featuring green building concepts.

Mettu Gutta (Rocksteps Hill) is a famous Hindu temple that is located in Madikonda. This place is also Known as Manigiri. The Linga in this temple has many similarities with Varanasi Visveswara. There are two temples on Mettu gutta. One temple is for Lord Shiva and other one is for Lord Sri Ram. Local people call this temple as Mettu Rama Lingeshwara swamy temple. There are many stories related to this temple one of them is that Lord Rama paid a darshan to this temple along with Goddess Sita when he came to Badrachalam area.

Siddheshwara Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located very close to Hanamkonda in Warangal. Thousand Pillar Temple, a marvel for visitors in the slopes of the Hanumakonda hill on the Hanamkonda-Warangal highway and close to Warngal, is built in 1163 AD by King Rudra Dev, a Kakatiya dynasty king. The temple is made out of intricately carved thousand pillars and is constructed in the shape of a star. Mainly the temple encloses three shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Surya. A mandapam with the structure of an amazing 6 foot Nandi is placed at the entrance of the temple. The temple has impressively carved doorways, ceilings with rich inscriptions and pillars. Many small lingams are placed in the premises of the temple. The background of the Hanumakonda hills is eye catching. This is a worth place to visit.
